Job description Position Name Safety Specialist Lifting equipment Inspection Reporting To Project Safety Manager/ Lead Educational Qualification Required BE Mechanical/Diploma in Mechanical with LEEA certification Experience Required : Around 10 years Quality: He must have experience in inspection and maintenance of lifting equipment with TPI or large industries Must have hands on experience on handling and maintaining lifting equipment Purpose of the Position: To prepare & carry out inspections of lifting equipment, tools and tackles to ensure fitness of equipment working in project site He is responsible for successfully implementing inspection program for Lifting equipment, tools and tackles used with a support and coordination of all contractors and Engineer in charges Key Role & Responsibility: Guidance to in implementing Equipment, Tools and tackles inspection program while permitting inside the project site Collection and monitoring of T&P certification and advice maintenance of data centrally and issue of alert for renewal of certification Implement periodical Inspection program for Lifting equipment and tools and tackles on coordination with various agency & implementation of statutory requirements as per acts and rules. Review and ensure maintaining of equipment registers for lifting equipment and tools and tackles by all agencies. Monitor adherence to schedule for inspection of lifting equipment Implement colour coding system/Fitness sticker for lifting equipment and tools and tackles Prepare training materials (Site based) if required Impart training for technicians for equipment inspection Participate in High risk Focus team meeting (Lifting and rigging) and raise high severity points related to lifting equipment which observed during the week.
