Job description Role & responsibilities JOB SUMMARY The Social Media & Events Manager will be responsible for executing social media campaigns and managing mega events under the guidance of the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). This role involves overseeing the planning and monitoring of various State and National level social media activities and also meetings as per the implementation plan. KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to support NACP-V programme objectives. Manage and monitor social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement. Collaborate with communication team to create compelling content that resonates with target audiences. Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Stay updated with social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance NACOs online presence. Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure consistent and impactful messaging. Prepare and present regular reports on social media and event activities, including performance metrics and feedback. Assist in the development of communication materials, press releases, and other promotional content. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and influencers to amplify NACOs initiatives. Set specific objectives and report on ROI. Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics Oversee social media accounts design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout) Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions. Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications Handle any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the organization’s objectives. Preferred candidate profile Post Graduate degree or diploma in Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management and event planning. Proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns and large-scale events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and event management software. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
