Role Overview The Bakery Commi will assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of various bakery items such as breads, pastries, cookies, and desserts. The role supports senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. This position is ideal for a passionate and hardworking individual who is eager to learn and grow within a professional bakery environment. Assist in the preparation of bread, cakes, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or as directed by senior chefs. Ensure all products meet the bakerys quality and presentation standards. Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance across all items prepared. Adhere to hygiene and food safety standards at all times. Clean and sanitize the workstation, equipment, and tools after use. Comply with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen. Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials and ingredients. Ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products to maintain freshness. Work closely with the Head Chef/Sous Chef and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Take feedback and improve performance in line with bakery standards. Skills & Requirements Diploma or certification in Bakery, Confectionery, or Culinary Arts (preferred). Proven experience in confectionery production, including chocolate work and sugar crafting. Creativity in designing and presenting confectionery items. Strong knowledge of ingredients and flavor pairings. Ability to handle confectionery equipment and tools with expertise. Attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality products. Time management skills to meet production deadlines. Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
