Job description Job Title: Technology Finance Controller (ITAM & FinOps) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior ITAM & FinOps Finance Controller to lead financial governance and cost optimization across IT assets and cloud spend. This role serves as the central authority for technology financial management, ensuring strict budget control, transparency, and accountability across all departments. You will play a critical role in aligning IT and cloud investments with business priorities while proactively managing costs, risks, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities Own and govern the end-to-end IT budget, including hardware, software, licenses, Professional services and cloud spend Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all IT cost centres Enforce financial discipline by challenging departmental spend, validating business cases, and controlling budget deviations Monitor IT and cloud expenditures continuously; issue alerts on overruns, risks, and anomalies Deliver weekly financial reports and executive dashboards with actionable insights Drive cost optimization initiatives across IT assets, licensing, vendors, and cloud environments Oversee cloud cost management (FinOps), including usage tracking, optimization, and cost allocation (showback/chargeback) Manage total cost of ownership (TCO), asset lifecycle financials, and compliance requirements Support vendor negotiations and ensure cost-effective contract management Act as a key financial advisor to IT and business stakeholders, enforcing accountability Requirements Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field 7–10+ years of experience in IT finance, ITAM, FinOps, or financial controlling Proven experience managing enterprise IT budgets and cloud spend Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and governance expertise Ability to confidently challenge and influence senior stakeholders Experience with ITAM/FinOps tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer) Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills Preferred FinOps Foundation certification ITIL / ITAM (IAITAM) certifications Finance certifications (ACCA, CPA, CFA) Success Metrics Budget adherence and reduction in overspend Cloud cost optimization and waste reduction Accuracy of forecasts and financial reporting Timeliness of alerts and weekly reporting Audit and compliance outcomes For further queries, write to: harshini.b@netconnectglobal.com Role: Finance & Accounting - Other Industry Type: Recruitment / Staffing Department: Finance & Accounting Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Finance & Accounting - Other Education UG: Any Graduate Key Skills Skills highlighted with ‘‘ are preferred keyskills Financial AnalysisItamcloud spendFinopsFinancial Controlling ServiceNowCloudHealthAWS Cost ExplorerFlexeraForecasting
