Job description Job Title: Blood Bank Technician Location: Sangareddy Experience Required: 2-5 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blood Bank Technician with 2 to 5years of experience to manage blood collection, testing, storage, and distribution activities. The candidate will ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory guidelines while supporting critical transfusion services. Key Responsibilities: Perform blood collection, grouping, cross-matching, and compatibility testing. Screen blood samples for infectious diseases as per protocols. Maintain proper storage and inventory of blood units and components. Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and traceability of all samples. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in blood banking. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures. Assist in handling blood donation camps and donor management. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NABH/NACO guidelines. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with departments for timely supply. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the blood bank area. Eligibility Criteria: Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/DMLT). Certification in Blood Bank Technology is preferred. 2–5 years of relevant experience in a hospital blood bank or diagnostic lab. Strong knowledge of blood grouping, cross-matching, and transfusion practices.
