Job description Role & responsibilities 1. Stores Operations & cGMP Compliance a. SOP Adherence: Ensure Executives and Stores Officers strictly follow cGMP procedures for all stores-related activities. b. Material Management: Supervise documentation, daily material storage in designated areas, weight verification, and drum labeling as per SOPs. c. Finished Goods Support: Assist staff in resolving queries during FG dispatch, ensuring accurate execution of instructions. d. Sampling & Repacking: Oversee daily sampling/repacking of finished goods and ensure proper documentation. e. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization within and around the Stores department. f. Safety Compliance: Verify daily safety permits and ensure they are properly prepared and closed as required. 2. Coordination & Dispatch Management a. Marketing Coordination: Serve as single-point contact between Marketing and Factory to resolve daily FG dispatch queries. b. Dispatch Planning: Manage daily dispatch planning and ensure timely execution of finished goods movement. c. Interdepartmental Coordination: Communicate with QA, Production, HSE, Engineering, and other departments for smooth planning and execution. d. Vendor & Transport Coordination: Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and external stakeholders for timely supply chain activities. 3. Documentation, Audits & Compliance a. Documentation Control: Ensure all documentation related to stores activities is completed timely and accurately. b. Audit Handling: Competently handle vendor visits, WHO audits, government inspections, and internal/external audits. c. Deviation/Incident Reporting: Report deviations, abnormalities, and incidents to superiors and participate in resolution. d. Permit Management: Prepare applicable safety permits, coordinate execution, and reconcile permits after work completion. 4. Team Leadership & People Management a. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop Stores Officers and Executives; ensure role clarity and strong team alignment. b. Task Allocation: Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of assigned work. c. Training: Impart regular training on cGMP, safety, documentation, and Stores systems to enhance team capability. d. Discipline & Conduct: Maintain discipline, promote teamwork, and uphold company policies within the department. e. Staff Planning: Ensure adequate manpower availability in line with operational requirements. 5. Communication & Stakeholder Management a. Internal Communication: Coordinate daily with co-officers for repacking and dispatch planning, documentation closure, and issue resolution. b. External Communication: Communicate with HSE, medical officer, Marketing, and other HODs for Stores-related requirements. c. Customer Service Support: Ensure timely delivery of services requested by internal departments. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications Required: B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Material Management Experience Required: 15-20 years of independent experience in RM Stores operations Strong exposure to cGMP, WHO audits, and documentation control in USFDA plants Ability to join immediately preferred Skills: Leadership & People Management Strong execution capability Excellent communication and coordination skills Technical expertise in materials handling and Stores operations Crisis Management & discipline Computer proficiency (SAP, Excel, Word) Knowledge of safety norms and legal requirements Strong understanding of MSDS, material flow, and GST rules Role: Stores & Material Management - Other Industry Type: Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Department: Procurement & Supply Chain Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Stores & Material Management Education UG: B.Com in Any Specialization PG: MBA/PGDM Key Skills Skills highlighted with ‘‘ are preferred keyskills RM StoresUSFDAStoresGMPWHO
