Job description Key Responsibilities 1. IT Strategy & Governance Develop and execute the hospitals IT strategy aligned with organizational goals. Ensure IT systems comply with NABH standards and healthcare regulations. Establish IT policies, procedures, and best practices. 2. Hospital Information Systems Management Oversee implementation and maintenance of HIS (Hospital Information System), EMR/EHR, LIS, RIS, PACS, and other clinical applications. Ensure seamless integration between systems for efficient workflow. Optimize system performance and user experience. 3. Infrastructure & Network Management Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Monitor system uptime and performance. 4. Data Security & Compliance Ensure data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Implement security protocols, firewalls, and access controls. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments. 5. Team Leadership Lead and manage the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. 6. Vendor & Budget Management Manage IT vendors, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Prepare and monitor IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions. 7. User Support & Training Ensure timely IT support services for clinical and administrative staff. Conduct training programs to enhance system adoption and digital literacy. 8. Quality & Accreditation Ensure IT systems support NABH documentation and audit requirements. Participate in accreditation processes and quality improvement initiatives. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) System uptime and availability User satisfaction scores IT project delivery timelines Data security incident rates NABH compliance readiness Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of HIS, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare IT standards.
