Experience: 10+ Years Work Location: Mahape, Navi Mumbai Applicant please share your update resume on tanvi.palwankar@qualitykiosk.com Role Summary We are seeking a Payments & Wire Exchange Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong automation testing and process validation expertise to support enterprise-scale payment platforms. This role is focused on wire transfers, FX payments, Straight Through Processing (STP), compliance validation, and automation-driven quality assurance across both domestic and international payment systems. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business domain expertise and technical automation capabilities, ensuring scalable, accurate, and compliant payment operations while driving quality through automation-first strategies. Key Responsibilities Payments & Wire Exchange Domain Expertise Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for end-to-end payment processing, including: Domestic and international wire transfers FX payments, currency conversions, and rate application Payment channels and networks such as SWIFT (MT/MX), SEPA, ACH, and other regional payment systems as applicable Own and validate the payment lifecycle, covering: Payment initiation Validation and enrichment Routing and execution Settlement and reconciliation Validate STP (Straight Through Processing) rules, workflows, and exception handling scenarios. Ensure compliance with: AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements Sanctions screening (OFAC and equivalent global regulations) KYC norms and bank-specific control frameworks Support requirement validation, business rule clarification, and defect triage by providing deep domain insights. Participate in root cause analysis of payment issues across business, application, and data layers. Automation & Quality Engineering Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for payment and FX workflows across complex banking platforms. Automate validation for: Payment message formats (SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022) FX rate application, spreads, and tolerance checks Cut-off times, holiday calendars, and settlement logic Collaborate closely with QA, Engineering, and DevOps teams to: Build and enhance regression automation suites Perform API-level automation testing for payment services Implement data-driven and rule-based automation frameworks Drive reduction of: Manual testing effort False test failures and rework Leverage intelligent automation strategies to improve test stability, coverage, and execution efficiency. Ensure automation alignment with enterprise test strategy and quality metrics. Stakeholder & Delivery Support Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including: Product Owners Business Analysts Developers Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams Review and contribute to: User stories Acceptance criteria Test strategy Definition of Done (DoD) Provide domain leadership during: UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Production issue analysis and resolution Act as a trusted SME during critical releases, regulatory changes, and production incidents. Required Skills & Experience Domain & Functional Skills Strong hands-on experience in payments and wire transfer systems, including international and cross-border payments. Solid understanding of: SWIFT MT/MX ISO 20022 FX payment processing and reconciliation Strong knowledge of STP processing, exception handling, and reconciliation workflows. Good understanding of banking regulations, compliance controls, and audit requirements related to payments. Automation & Technical Skills Proven experience in automation testing for enterprise banking or payment platforms. Experience with: API testing frameworks Data-driven and rules-based automation Validation of complex payment data and message structures Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams in an agile delivery environment. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a QA and domain-first mindset. Education & Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Payments, Banking, or Test Automation are a plus. Nice to Have Experience with large-scale core banking or payment modernization programs. Exposure to ISO 20022 migration programs. Prior experience working with global banking clients or multi-country payment solutions. Knowledge of performance, security, or non-functional testing in payment platforms.
